2016 In-Training for Atlanta Women's 5K presented by Northside Hospital is a 12 week, stroller friendly women's-only 5K training program that prepares walkers and runners for the Atlanta Women’s 5K the last Saturday in March.  The goal of the program is to provide a fun, motivating running environment that helps women start their journey towards health and fitness and develops a knowledgeable runner/walker. 

Each week, participants have the opportunity to attend up to three 90-minute training sessions.  Each session includes a group run and a running/walking specific clinic (clinic topics will vary).  New this year, Atlanta Track Club has partnered with Good Measure Meals to offer a 3-month nutrition consultation as part of the training program.

  • January 1, 2016 Kick-off at Resolution Run
  • First week of Jan Mizuno Test Run event
  • Jan 10 - March 20 3:00 PM-Sunday training sessions
  • Jan 12 - March 22 Tuesday 9:30 AM & 6:30 PM training sessions
  • Jan 28 - March 17 6:30 PM Midweek workout sessions

  • $105.00 - Training plus race entry (no training only option)
  • $175.00 - Mizuno Upgrade Package (includes Training and Mizuno running shoes valued at $120.00 or less.  For shoes above this price point, the participant would be responsible for the price difference). Show your confirmation email at the participating specialty running store to redeem your Mizuno shoes.

    • *Note: Once a month Sunday training will meet at Chastain Park during regular training time
  • Midweek Workouts - Thursday PM - Piedmont Park, Active Oval


  • Three workout sessions per week (opportunity to attend all three or some combination)
  • Clinics will consist of an active and informative component. Quick view of topics: nutrition, strength, injury prevention, flexibility and core.
  • Free entry into Resolution Run 1 Miler (option for 4 Miler distance)
  • Free entry into Hearts and Soles 5K,  February 6 (for those ready to test themselves)
  • Weekly clinics (strength training, injury prevention, core workouts and nutrition)
  • Good Measured Meals:  3 month nutrition consultation would include an initial body composition analysis performed on the Tanita Scales, group information session (explain results and readings), mid-program clinic and follow up analysis to measure improvements for all participants
  • Opportunity for discounted upgrade option for extended services
  • Training log (includes nutrition content from a registered nutritionist)

In order to receive your free entry into the Resolution Run, you must be registered for the program no later than December 24, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. Once registered for training, you will receive a code to use during registration for the Resolution Run.
