Atlanta Track Club competitive track team member, Jean Daprano, smashed two world marks at the Club West Masters and Open Track Meet in Moorpark, California on Sunday, October 23. Daprano, who recently turned 75, shattered the W75 marks for both the 400m and 800m events. In the 400m event, Daprano ran a 1:22.29, close to three seconds faster than Susan MacLeod's, USA, 2010 record of 1:25.40. In the 800m, Daprano's time of 3:07.35 knocked off 6.31 seconds off of the 2010 W75 record of 3:13.66 held by Germany's Elfriede Hodapp.
