Atlanta Track Club Men's Masters Team member, Chris Wiley (42, Atlanta, Ga.) claimed the USA Masters title at the 2011 USA 10 km Trail Championships in Laurel Springs, NC finishing in a time of 44:32 good for nineth place overall.
Wiley earned an invite to compete in the 2011 USA 10 km Championships after taking top honors at the 2011 USATF-GA MUT Championships held at the Deep South 15 km Trail Run on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Wiley dominated a strong masters field which included Dave Dunham (Bradford, Mass.) and Tim VanOrden (Bennington, Vt.) on the challenging 6.2 mile course that included over 1,100 feet of climbing.
Atlanta Track Club women's team member, Holly Ortlund (Decatur, Ga.), also participated in the 2011 USA 10 km Trail Championships and placed fifth in the women's race with a time of 56:37.
