The Atlanta Track Club Foundation, Inc., was
founded in the late 1980's with a mission to promote track and field,
distance running, and allied events in the State of Georgia. Created with
the endorsement of the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Track Club, the ATC
Foundation was established through a donation from the Atlanta Track Club
and has received generous donations of the years from the organization. The
ATC Foundation operates as an independent and separate entity, through
cordial cooperation with the Atlanta Track Club.
Since 1997, the ATC Foundation has granted in excess of $250,000 to
worthwhile organizations in support of its mission. The process involves the
receipt of individual grant requests from many organizations, evaluation of
each request for worthiness, and follow-up to make sure the grant money was
spent by the organization for its original intent.
