The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race T-SHIRT DESIGN COMPETITION INFORMATION WHO'S THE MOST CELEBRATED ARTIST IN ATLANTA EVERY FOURTH OF JULY? The one who does the design for the coveted Peachtree T-Shirt, of course. It's the 39th running of Atlanta's most popular annual event, involving 55,000 runners and multitudes of their friends and well-wishers. To submit your design consideration, send it in with the entry form. The deadline to enter is February 28, 2008. Our judges will pick five finalists from all entries received and the public chose their favorite from among those five. The deadline for voting is midnight April 30, 2008, and the winner will not be revealed until July 4. The winning designer gets a $1,000 cash award and the four other designers win $100 each. Enter today!   Contest Rules: 1. Designs should measure 12” x 12”. 2. Designs must be submitted on unlined white paper or illustration board. Designs must be executed in one of the following color media: color markers, paint, color pencils, inks, chalks or crayons. Designs may be hand-drawn or designed on a computer, but “clip art” is not allowed. 3. An official entry form (or facsimile) must be submitted with each design. DO NOT affix entry form to artwork. 4. DO NOT write on front or back of artwork. 5. Designs should include the race title, “The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race.” It should be located at the top of the design. The word “Peachtree” should be at least 2” high. 6. Color copies of original designs will be accepted. 7. All entries must be submitted together. 8. Five finalists' designs will be selected and published in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The winning design will be selected by the public. The person who submits the winning design will receive $1,000 and will have their design reproduced on the 2008 Peachtree T-Shirts. The four finalists who are not selected will each receive $100. The winning design becomes the property of the Atlanta Track Club and may be modified as necessary. The winning design will have sponsor logos added.
