Show your support for “Atlanta’s Finest” at the Atlanta’s Finest 5K, a run and walk benefiting the Atlanta Police Foundation, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization established to enhance the effectiveness of the Atlanta Police Department. The Foundation raises funds to help ensure operational effectiveness, provides personnel support and development, and fosters community engagement with the Department.

Before and after the race, you can see the latest in police gear, such as a computer-equipped squad car and the SWAT Unit bomb disposal robot, and say hello to the four-footed officers of the Equine and Canine units.

The 5K race starts and ends near Piedmont Park’s Charles Allen Drive entrance, circling the park on neighborhood streets. Before the 5K, the 1K Gumshoe Gallop Fun Run for children will take place entirely within the park.

T-shirts and refreshments will be provided for all registered runners. Trophies will be presented to the overall men’s and women’s open and masters winners, and age group awards three-deep for ages 14 and under to 75+.

The Atlanta’s Finest 5k is a non-discounted Grand Prix series event. The fee for the 5K is $20, and $8 for the Gumshoe Gallop. Race number pickup is on race day morning at the park beginning at 6:30 a.m.

For the safety and enjoyment of everyone, please remember that no wheeled conveyances are permitted on the course, including baby joggers and strollers, bicycles, and roller or inline skates.
