 Track and Field Classic 

Field Events begin at 4:00 p.m. and Running Events begin at 5:00 p.m.

Registration is now closed.

Sanctions:    

This is a USATF sanctioned event. USATF membership is available at www.usatf.org.  USATF registration is not required for each competitor.

 

Site:

Emory University, Woodruff Physical Education Center, Atlanta, Georgia.  8-lane, 400 meter rekortan track (1/4" spikes max)

 

Age Divisions:

Junior (19 & under) - Juniors are only allowed to compete in the 3000 meter run.

Open (20-39) - Men & women will compete in one 10-year age division.

Masters (40+) - Men & women will compete in 5-year age groups through 95+.

 

Entry Fees:

$13 first event; $2 each additional event.  ATC Grand Prix 3000m - $6 entry fee for ATC members. You must pre-register for the Track and Field Classic. Relay events are free to all registered athletes.

 

Deadline:

All entries must be received by Friday, June 19, 2009.  Due to the complexities of coordinating the meet, NO LATE ENTRIES can be accepted.

 

Awards:

Medals to first three places in age groups.

 

Packet Pickup:

Emory University, track & field entrance, beginning at 3:30 p.m.

 

Directions:

To Emory University: From I-85 take exit 91, Clairmont Rd, Turn south. Travel 3.7 miles, turn right onto N. Decatur Rd. Turn right onto Oxford Rd. The physical education center is located on Asbury Circle; parking is available in the Peavine Deck on Eagle Row behind the PE Center; parking fees may apply.

 

EVENT AGE GROUP SEQUENCE:
Masters & Open Women, Masters Men 50 and Over, Masters Men 40-49, Open Men 39 and Under.
Age groups and heats may be combined if there are insufficient entrants.

   5:15 p.m. - 1500m Race Walk

   5:30 p.m. - 4 x 100m Relay

   5:40 p.m. - 1 Mile   

   6:00 p.m. - 100m        

   6:20 p.m. - 80m / 100m / 110m Hurdles

   6:40 p.m. - 400m

   6:55 p.m. - 800m

   7:15 p.m. - 200m

   7:45 p.m. - Open and Masters Women 3000m (GP)

   8:10 p.m. - 4 x 400m Relay

   8:30 p.m. - Masters 50+ Men 3000m (GP)

   8:50 p.m. - Masters Men 40-49 3000m (GP)

   9:00 p.m. - Open Men 39 and Under 3000m (GP)     

   4:00 p.m. - High Jump, Hammer (Discus to follow)

   5:00 p.m. - Long Jump, Javelin

   6:00 p.m. - Pole Vault 

   6:30 p.m. - Triple Jump  

   7:00 p.m. - Shot Put
