Atlanta Track Club Elite Top the Podium at USATF Masters 10K Championships; Georgia Tech Invite

ATLANTA – April 26, 2016 – Members of Atlanta Track Club Elite hit the road for the USATF Masters 10K Championships while the open team took to the track over the weekend at Georgia Tech.

James Joyce Ramble
The James Joyce Ramble hosted the USATF Masters 10K Championships in Dedham, Massachusetts, on April 24. Sonja Friend-Uhl led the women’s 40+ team to a first place finish, placing second overall. Nancy Stewart competed on the 40+ team and was the fastest 60+ female overall. Adam Totten-Lancaster placed fourth overall for the men.

Georgia Tech Invite
The Georgia Tech Invite was held on April 22 in Atlanta.

In the 1500m, Christy Cazzola won in 4:19.13. Yolanda Ngarambe finished third (4:24.71) while marathoner Bridget Lyons put in some speed work and placed sixth (4:30.06).

Cazzola also came in first in the 800m in 2:08.83. Ngarambe’s 2:11.10 finish earned her second place, while Maya Ramos-Coffey finished fifth in her season opener with a time of 2:13.63.

Brandon Lasater won the men’s 3000m steeplechase in 8:56.00. This was his debut in steeple races.

Andrew McLain placed first in the 5000m with his 14:27.09 finish.
