ATLANTA – July 1, 2015 –
If you aren’t one of the 200,000 spectators lining the course for the AJC Peachtree Road Race and its inaugural Peachtree Cup elite international competition on Saturday, there are plenty of other options for watching the race.

11Alive (WXIA-TV) in Atlanta will kick off its race coverage at 10 a.m. EDT Thursday, with a live stream at on.11alive.com/streaming of the pre-race press conference from Magnolia Hall in Piedmont Park. Featuring Peachtree Cup captains Shalane Flanagan (Team USA), Gebre Gebremariam (Team Africa), Daniele Meucci (Team Europe), and Yusuke Hasegawa (Team Asia), as well as top wheelchair athletes Tatyana McFadden and Krige Schabort, the press conference will include the unveiling of the first-ever Peachtree Cup trophy.

On race day, 11Alive will broadcast and stream the race live at on.11alive.com/streaming from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., with a prime-time, one-hour highlight show beginning at 8 p.m.

Focusing on the Peachtree Cup competition among the four elite international teams, USATF.TV will stream the race live beginning at 7:15 a.m. And for the first time, beginning at 11 p.m. on July 6, NBC Sports Network will broadcast a one-hour highlight show of the race.

The 2015 AJC Peachtree Road Race will have a total prize purse of $98,500, with $81,000 of that amount set aside for the team competition. The remaining prize money will be awarded to individuals in the men’s and women’s open and masters races.

The 46th running of the AJC Peachtree Road Race will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2015. The AJC Peachtree Road Race is the world’s largest 10K, with 60,000 participants.
