The 2009-2010 ATC Grand Prix series begins with the Singleton Stone Mountain 5M & 10M on September 12th. Your standing in the series is automatically tracked for you and published regularly in The Wingfoot's Grand Prix Updates and on the ATC website. (The Wingfoot is the ATC's offline monthly magazine.)  Click here for a .pdf 2009-2010 Personal Record Card. NEW SEASON

1. You must be an ATC member to participate in either the Open or Age Group category. Your membership will be verified as we start the new series and as we progress through the 2009-2010 year.

2. Points will be awarded only for completion of the race for which you are registered. (No changing distances during a race.) Also, you may enter and be eligible for only one (1) race in events that have multiple distances.

 

NEW ATC GRAND PRIX RULES
New for the 2009-2010 Grand Prix Season

Below are the changes that have been made for the 2009-2010 Grand Prix season
1.  You only have to finish eight ATC Grand Prix races (six if you're age 14 and under) to be included in the final tally.
2.  Only first through fifth receive points in the overall catagory.

3.  All runners who complete a minimum of eight races (adults) and six races (14 and under) receive a short-sleeve technical ATC shirt. All runners completing at least five races receive a short-sleeve cotton ATC T-shirt.

4.  Age groups winners are also eligible to win the overall Age Group points award.

5.  Your age group for the 2009-2010 Grand Prix season is determined by your age on August 14, 2010 (the last race of the series).


Men's and Women's Open Division
1. No minimum number of races.

2. Points awarded as follows for overall placement in a race:

First Place 100 Points
Second Place   80 Points
Third Place   60 Points
Fourth Place   40 Points
Fifth Place       20 Points

Men's and Women's Age Group Divisions
1. You must officially finish at least eight races of the series. Children 14 & under need only finish six races, due to the 10K distance limitation for 14 & under.

2. The age groups are as follows: 14 & Under (10K or less),15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 75 & Over.

3. Points awarded as follows for age group placement in a race:

First Place 100 Points
Second Place   80 Points
Third Place   60 Points
Fourth Place   40 Points
Fifth Place       20 Points

All runners who complete every event they are eligible to run receive a commemorative prize.

 

• Special awards are given to the men's and women's Open division winners; the top 3 points earners in each age group in the men's and womens' Age Group division; the man and woman with the most age group points in the Age Group division. (Open division runners may not receive more than one award. For example, the first place open division man would not be eligible to receive an age group award.)
