When does registration for the AJC Peachtree Road Race open?

Online registration for the AJC Peachtree Road Race 2010 opens at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 21 at ajc.com/peachtree.

How much will it cost to sign up for the AJC Peachtree Road Race?

The entry fee for the 2010 event is $33 per runner.

New this year, number pickup will take place at the Peachtree Health and Fitness Expo on Friday, July 2 and Saturday, July 3.  During registration, participants wishing to have their race numbers mailed to them can do so for a $5 fee to cover the costs of postage and handling.

Why is registration online?

Online registration for the AJC Peachtree Road Race is part of an effort to continue to enhance the Peachtree experience. Online registration was added in 2009 to provide participants with an additional registration option. The traditional paper application will still be a registration option.

Online registration allows Peachtree registrants to know immediately after submitting their online registration form and seeing the official race confirmation page that they are successfully entered in the event. Registrants will also receive an official race confirmation e-mail within 24 hours after registering. In addition to allowing immediate notification of entry into the race, online registration also allows entrants to pay using a credit card instead of a check, which has traditionally been the only method of payment available.

When I register online, how will I know if I’m in the race?

Once you fill out all the required fields on the registration form, click SUBMIT. A confirmation page will appear on the screen confirming your entry into the Peachtree. You can print the confirmation page as proof of entry into the event for your records. You will also receive an entry confirmation e-mail within 24 hours of registering for the race.

Will I still need to submit a finish time by mail if I register online?

No, you will not need to submit your a finish time by mail if you register online. To submit a finish time from a past race to secure start wave assignment you will be able to enter your race name, date and net finish time during online registration.  You will be placed in the appropriate start wave based on your submitted finish time.  All submitted times will be verified by the Atlanta Track Club.

Those filling out the paper application will still need to include a copy of their race documentation when they mail in their application.

What credit cards will be accepted through online registration?

Registrants can use their Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover card to pay online.

If I submit the paper application that I got in the AJC on March 28, how will I know if I am one of the randomly selected 10,000 that made it in the race?

Your canceled check is your receipt and proof of entry into the race. Please contact your bank to see if your check has been cashed. Typically, all checks are processed by the end of the third week of April.

If your application is not one of the 10,000 randomly selected entries, your unopened application will be returned to the return address indicated on the envelope, marked “Return to Sender: AJC Peachtree Road Race Closed”. If you receive your envelope back, this means that it was received at the correct P.O. Box, but was not chosen as part of the random drawing for the remaining 10,000 spaces. A yellow sticker reading “unable to deliver as addressed” may be affixed to the envelope by the US Post Office: this indicates that the entry WAS received but is being returned as a non-accepted entry.

Will I have to submit separate online registration forms if I’m trying to register my entire family?

Yes, a separate online registration form will need to be filled out for each individual who would like to participate in the event.

I’d like to run as part of a team. Are there provisions for team or group entries?

All entries are on an individual basis. If you’d like to run as part of a group, you may do so on an informal basis. You need to run in the slowest start wave assigned to any of your members: for example, if the members of your group received numbers in the "A", "C" and "E" start waves, the slowest wave is "E" and you may all run together in that group.
