The Wingfoot Night of Champions will bring together the best athletes in the state of Georgia for an exciting evening of competition. Up to 16 athletes will compete in each event for the ultimate glory of the All-Class state championship. This event will be hosted under the lights at Marietta High School. With years of historically fast competition and top 10 all-time marks, this meet will be the highlight of the season!
Athletes must qualify for the meet in one of two ways:
- State champion in their event
- Achieve a top 8 qualifying time, see qualification section below
Athletes who achieve the qualifying standard should contact the recruiter for their event in order to register for the meet. All athletes must register prior to the May 17 deadline, see below for recruiter contact information, registration, selection and qualification.
Qualification & Selection
Up to 16 athletes, who meet the qualifying standards, will compete per event. Athletes will be limited to two individual events. The following criteria will be used to fill the event fields:
- GHSA State Champions, regardless of season best marks
- Top 8 remaining registered athletes, based on seed times
All registered athletes who land outside the top 8 seeded times will be waitlisted. Athletes will be notified on May 18 if an auto qualifier has scratched and a spot has opened for them.
Athletes who have hit the qualifying standard in their event should contact the Event Recruiter of their discipline (see below) for more information. All athletes must register on ga.milepslit.com by May 17 at Noon to be eligible to compete. Completing the registration form does not guarantee you a spot in the meet. Registration will not be available on race day.
