The Blue Ridge Relay, the Southeast's premier 200-mile team running relay, takes place in the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and North Carolina.
Starting at an elevation of 4920' in Grayson Highlands State Park, VA, which is graced with high elevation balds, stands of native Fraser Fir, boulder fields and a herd of wild ponies. The course primarily follows scenic, country roads as it winds its way through North Carolina's High Country. BRR features the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, one lane gravel roads, mountain hollows, Christmas tree farms, numerous rivers, revitalized small towns, and breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge.
After an epic 208 miles of running, 16,000' of climbing, 19,000' of descent and 20-36 hours in a van with some of your closest friends, what better way to finish than in Asheville, NC in the Meadow of Highland Brewing Company. "We are thrilled to be laced-up for another go at a race that should be found on EVERY southern runner's annual must-do list."
