2017 Atlanta Hawks Fast Break 5K

Join Harry the Hawk, the Flight Crew, and your Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders as you make your way around Philips Arena at the third annual Atlanta Hawks Fast Break 5K. Registration includes FREE race day parking, ticket to a Hawks game plus a $10 food voucher and so much more. In addition, the first 1500 registrants receive an Atlanta Hawks beanie!

Participants can choose from the following 2017 Atlanta Hawks games for the ticket included with race entry:

RACE DAY REGISTRATION

Cost: $45 cash or credit card only

Due to the popularity of this event, t-shirt sizing and game date ticket availability cannot be guaranteed for those registering on race day. Additionally, free parking is not available for those registering on race
day.

TIMING & RESULTS

Unofficial results are available online the afternoon of the event. Results are made official approximately two weeks after the event, after all inquires have been processed.

Your timing device for this event is the Chronotrack single use B-tag. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your bib is...

Clearly visible on the front of the torso
Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
Pinned in all four corners
Not covered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

COURSE

Atlanta Hawks Fast Break 5K Course Map

Course time limit:

5K: 1 hour and 15 minutes (25 minute per mile pace).
Any participant still on the course after the course time limit is reached will be asked to move to the sidewalk and will not have event services available.
For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no pets, or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including baby joggers/strollers, roller/inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course. Headphones are strongly discouraged.

AGE LIMITS

5k: Ages 8 and up

NUMBER/T-SHIRT PICK-UP

Number pick-up will take place the morning of the event beginning at 6:30 a.m. T-shirts will be distributed after the event. Beanies, to the first 1500 to register, will be available before and after the event.

GEAR CHECK FOR MARTA PASSENGERS

Participants utilizing MARTA to travel to/from the Fast Break 5K are invited to check gear at a special "MARTA Passenger Gear Check" located inside Philips Arena. Show your MARTA Breeze card and check your warm clothes for safe keeping until after the event. Open to MARTA passengers only.

COURTSIDE PHOTOS

Photo opportunities on the hardwood will be available BEFORE the event for a limited time, 6:30 a.m. - 7:15 a.m.. Come early and smile!

GAME TICKETS

One game ticket is included in all race registrations. Game tickets will be emailed to the addres provided during registration. The e-ticket will serve as your $10 credit towards food and beverage on the selected game day. If discarded this credit cannot be replaced. Additional tickets for friends and family can also be purchased during registration for a fee of $26.00 (includes one game ticket and $10 food credit) each.

MARTA

Philips Arena is accessible via the MARTA Blue or Green lines at the Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN stop and will drop you directly at the check-in location for the event.

PARKING

Centennial Parking Deck (131 Centennial Olympic Park Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30303) or the Philips Lot.

You must be pre-registered for this event to receive free parking. Please bring the parking pass emailed to you in your participant email and display it on your dash if parking in one of these decks. If you register on race day you will not be eligible for FREE race day parking.

Atlanta Track Club signs and volunteers will help guide you from the parking deck to check-in inside Philips Arena.

EVENT SECURITY

Anyone entering the arena with a bag, including a fanny pack or race belt, will be subject to a bag check. It is highly encouraged that all bags be left at home or in your vehicle. Also, no outside food or drink is allowed inside the arena other than those given to runners at the finish of the event.
