Speed Academy: Fall Training

Speed Academy: Fall Training is for athletes who prefer not to race in long-distance cross country meets, but still want structured training to stay fit and prepare for their next season. The plan is to include non-distance athletes—such as sprinters, jumpers, and middle-distance runners—within the cross country framework, while providing a tailored training approach specific to their needs.

Fall Training focuses on sprint mechanics, general strength, speed endurance, and conditioning. This program is designed to keep non-distance athletes engaged, conditioned, and prepared to enter the winter season with a solid athletic foundation—whether that's for indoor track, basketball, or another winter sport. In December, athletes can transition to Speed Academy, our pre-season training phase for the spring season. Speed Academy athletes will also have the opportunity to compete in indoor track meets.

Practice Location Days Time Address
Brook Run Park Mondays & Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. 4770 N Peachtree Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338

Speed Academy: Athletic Performance

Speed Academy: Athletic Performance offers an inclusive and dynamic training environment for young athletes, beginning as early as 4th grade. Designed for participants of all ability and experience levels, Speed Academy focuses on enhancing speed, strength, agility, and explosiveness through a structured program. Emphasizing proper form and mechanics, the program builds a solid foundation for running—a key skill in nearly every sport.

Participants develop essential power, speed, and conditioning during the winter, setting them up for success in the upcoming track and field season and in other sports they may pursue. This program welcomes young athletes from various sports backgrounds, helping them improve their overall athletic performance.

Athletes in the Indoor Track program will train alongside Speed Academy participants during shared sessions, while also receiving specialized instruction tailored to track and field performance. In addition, they will have the opportunity to compete in 3-4 indoor meets, applying their training in real-time race environments.
