USATF HALF MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIPS

Building on the record-breaking performances of the 2025 edition, the Publix Atlanta Half Marathon will also serve as the host for the 2026 USATF Half Marathon Championships on Sunday, March 1, 2026. The top three finishers will represent Team USA in Copenhagen at the 2026 World Athletics Road Running Championships - Half Marathon. All relevant media information for the weekend can be found below including schedule, timelines, parking and maps. If you have any questions, please email media@atlantatrackclub.org.

The USATF Half Marathon Championships will be broadcast live on live with commentary from Olympian and broadcaster Carrie Tollefson and track and field announcer Tim Hutchings on the Atlanta Track Club YouTube channel.

Friday, February 27 - Elite Athlete Press Event

2 p.m. at Georgia World Congress Center Hall C4, Main Stage

Olympian and Broadcaster Carrie Tollefson to moderate
Elite athletes present:

• Sam Chelanga, Charles Hicks, Wesley Kiptoo
• Jess McClain, Erika Kemp, Molly Born, Emma Grace Hurley
• Athletes will be available post press event for interviews

Saturday, February 28 - Publix Atlanta 5K & Kids Marathon

Credentials are required.
Location: The Home Depot Backyard
Start and Finish Map: View to see the layout of the event
Area of Access - Start:

• Media will have a designated space on the sidewalk in a fenced in boxed area.
• Media must stay within this boxed area. Before the race media are allowed to be inside the chute but only in this boxed area. Three minutes before the start, all media will be asked to move outside of the chute.
• No media is allowed inside the start wave corrals. Space is first-come, first-serve.

Area of Access - Finish:

• Media will have access to the photo box (inside the finish chute)
• Media must follow race staff instructions at all times.
• Please find an Atlanta Track Club staff member - onsite contacts are listed below.

• 7:45 AM - 5K Start
• 8:40 AM - 5K Awards at Main Stage
• 9:30 AM - 3K Start
• 10:00 AM - 3K Awards in the Youth Festival Area
• 10:15 AM - Dash Start
• 10:30 AM - 3K Awards at Main Stage

• Approximate Finish (First Male): 8:15 AM
• Approximate Finish (First Female): 8:26 AM
• Awards will happen in the finish chute immediately following the elite finish

• Orange Deck, enter and pull a parking ticket, receive parking validation from an Atlanta Track Club staff member

CREDENTIAL PICKUP

Location: Just outside of the Publix Atlanta Marathon Weekend Expo, Georgia World Congress Center Hall C4
Directions:

• Park in Yellow Lot
• Walk inside of the building.
• There will be a table outside the entrance of Hall C4 labeled Credential Pickup
• Map for visual reference

Pickup Times:

• Friday, February 27: 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• Saturday, February 28 1: 7:30 - 6:00 p.m.
• You must pickup your credential ahead of Sunday, March 1.
• If you cannot pick up your credential during these times because of travel, please email media@atlantatrackclub.org as soon as possible.

Please note:
Your credential is a green vest. Vest must be worn both Saturday and Sunday.
