PEACHTREE HEALTH & FITNESS EXPO PRESENTED BY PUBLIX
Held in climate-controlled tents in the parking lot across from Macy's at Lenox
Square. More than 40,000 attendees will pick up race numbers and connect with
sponsors and vendors. There is a full lineup of engaging live programming on
the main stage including the Elite Athlete Press Event on July 3 at 1 p.m. Check out the full schedule at the bottom of the page here.

CHICK-FIL-A PEACHTREE JUNIOR
Over 3,000 kids (ages 14 and under) will participate in a Mile and Dash at
Lenox Square. All participants will get the chance to run underneath the iconic July 4 start line. Meet Pete the Peach, the Chick-fil-A Cows and more. Enjoy the
National Anthem sung by Violet Bove, 14, winner of the "Oh Say Can You Sing"
contest.

Top athletes in the footrace, the Shepherd Center Wheelchair Division and the
Elite High School Division join a Q&A with Olympian Carrie Tollefson and
Atlanta Track Club COO Eric Heintz at the Peachtree Health & Fitness Expo
presented by Publix.
The event will also feature remarks from Shepherd Center President and CEO Jamie Shepherd on the renaming of
"Cardiac Hill" to "Hope Hill" in honor of the Center's 50th anniversary.

- Elite Men: Isaia Lasoi (Peachtree debut, ranked #3 in the world), Vincent Langat (Peachtree debut, 26:55 10K personal best), Zouhair Talbi (Peachtree debut and top American seed)

- Bailey Brackett - Rabun Gap, top three in Georgia for the 5000m, 3200m and 1600m
- Paige Comstock - Harrison High School, 2024 Atlanta Track Club All-Metro XC Honoree

RACE DAY
Change for
2025: In previous years, live broadcasting of the race by non-rights holder
media was strictly prohibited. This year, only live coverage of the elite and
wheelchair finishes is restricted. All other live shots are welcome.
AREAS OF
ACCESS
START LINE:
Media will be stationed on the sidewalk along the south side of Peachtree Road.
No access to the start line or wave corrals. First-come, first-served positions
are available for broadcast outlets.
Note: Start line media must provide their own transportation to the finish
line. Refer to the parking information below and road closure document for more
information.
COURSE:
Peachtree Road access closes to all traffic at 5 a.m. Media planning to set up
along the course must indicate so on their credential application.
PRESS
TRUCKS:
Limited space on the press trucks is available for still photographers only.
Non-partner television cameras and videographers are not permitted on the press
trucks due to broadcast rights restrictions. The men's and women's races will
each have their own press truck. If you would like
to access a press truck, please contact Director of Marketing, Natalie Cabanas
at ncabanas@atlantatrackclub.org.
FINISH LINE:
Note: All media must enter the finish line via Charles Allen and 10th—not through the finish chute.
Please note, the finish chute has changed this year and will now enter the Piedmont Park Meadow further down 10th St next to Park Tavern. See this adjustment here.
- Photo Box: Head-on photo/video access available. Tripods are NOT allowed in this area. Tripods must be placed within the fenced in media area located on the sidewalk. Placement is on a first come, first served basis. No cell phones are allowed other than Atlanta Track Club staff members.
- Media Area: There will be a dedicated fenced in media area located to the left of the photo box on the sidewalk. Placement is on a first come, first served basis.
- Mixed Zone: A change in 2025 - The mixed zone will be located further down 10th Street and will be the same area where the awards ceremony will take place. Credentialed media may interview elite athletes here.

This will be held on 10th Street following the elite races. Footrace, Wheelchair Division and Elite High School top finishers will be recognized.

Free parking is available in the Lenox Square East, West, South decks and the
Macy's Parking Deck. The closest parking lot to the Expo would be East Deck (also referenced as the Macy's Parking Deck) and is suggested to check first. View Map here.

What's New in 2025!
New Locations:
- The Peachtree Health & Fitness Expo presented by Publix has moved from the Georgia World Congress Center to Lenox Square (Macy's Parking Lot). The Expo will now be held inside climate-controlled tents.
- The Chick-fil-A Peachtree Junior has relocated from Piedmont Park to Lenox Square.
Road Closure & Start Line Activation:
- From July 2 to July 4, a portion of Peachtree Road—from Lenox Parkway to Lenox Road—will be closed to become a pedestrian-only zone. Please view this map for road closure and traffic detour information.
- The iconic Start Line truss will be constructed ahead of the opening of the expo on July 2 earlier than ever, creating a photo-friendly, festive atmosphere leading up to race day.
- Fireworks return to Buckhead for the first time in over a decade on July 3 at 9:15 p.m., viewable from the Start Line.
Finish Line Enhancements:
- More measures are being implemented to help runners stay cool and safe. The race start time has been moved up by 10 minutes to reduce exposure to late morning heat.
- The finish area will be expanded to include cooling towels, shaded recovery zones and live DJs. Additional race day enhancements will be announced soon.
Road Closures & Traffic Plans
- July 2 (12:00 a.m.): As stated above, Peachtree Road closes from Lenox Parkway to Lenox Road. Reopens around 9:30 a.m. on July 4.
- July 3 (8:45-10:00 a.m.): Rolling closure on Peachtree Road from Lenox Parkway to Piedmont for the Chick-fil-A Peachtree Junior.
- July 4 (4:30 a.m. onward): Start area road closures begin; the Shepherd Center wheelchair race begins at 6:12 a.m., elite women at 6:43 a.m., first wave starting at 6:50 a.m. All start waves will have taken off by 8:30 a.m. Full detailed schedule will be included later.
APD will be present throughout the area, including Lenox Parkway, Lenox Road, Kingsboro Road and East Paces Ferry to manage traffic and ensure safety.
AJC Live Broadcast Coverage and Streaming
The live broadcast of the AJC Peachtree Road Race returns for the second year in a row via the AJC with expanded coverage, featuring more than a dozen cameras and live reporting teams at the start, finish, and along the course. The program includes short documentaries highlighting new race elements and the event's impact on the Atlanta community.
Coverage will air live from 6-9 a.m. on the AJC homepage and AJC News app with weather updates from 11Alive.
The broadcast team includes:
- Carrie Tollefson, 2004 Olympian, hosting her 12th Peachtree broadcast
- Amanda McGrory, 7-time Paralympic medalist and 2007 Peachtree champion
- Ed Eyestone, 2-time Olympian and 1991 Peachtree champion
