2017 680 the Fan Tailgate 5K

Important Event Update:

Due to emergency repairs of a sinkhole on Powers Ferry Road, Saturday's race will now be a one-mile road race. There will not be a 5K. Atlanta Track Club worked closely with the City of Atlanta to hold the 680 the Fan Tailgate 5K as planned, but we have been informed that repairs to the road will be not completed and ready for foot traffic on race morning, The one-mile race will still be included in the Grand Prix Series presented by Piedmont Healthcare. Adjusted start waves are listed below. Please listen closely to instructions on race morning for further details.

Some call it the "dog days" of summer, but we think it's the perfect time for a 5K! Enjoy this scenic and challenging course around beautiful Chastain Park while celebrating the coming football season and your favorite team. The 2017 Tailgate 5K is the 7th event in the 2017 Atlanta Track Club Grand Prix Series.

Cost: Free for members; $10 for non-members and $5 for high school students (cash or credit card only)

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no headphones, pets, or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including baby joggers/strollers, roller/inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

We are offering a special race day registration of $5 for all high school students; you must register by 7:00 a.m. on race day and show your high school ID to receive the discounted rate.

GRAND PRIX

The Tailgate 5K is the seventh event in the 2017 Atlanta Track Club Grand Prix Series presented by Piedmont Healthcare. For more information on the 2017 Grand Prix Series, please click here. Please note: Your age on December 31, 2017 is used as your base age for Grand Prix scoring. For example, if you are currently 34 years old but will be turning 35 in November, your age will appear as 35 in the standing throughout the Grand Prix season.
