12th Annual Kettle Krush 5K Run/Walk, 1K

The 12th Annual Kettle Krush 5K Run/Walk, 1K (ages 6 & up), and Tot Trot (ages 5 & under), takes off on a new course on May 16, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Organized by the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, the race will start and finish at Mt. Bethel Church, 4385 Lower Roswell Rd, Marietta, on a mostly flat course ideal for seasoned runners, walkers, teams, and participants of all ages--including those with strollers and wheelchairs. Proceeds from Kettle Krush will help The Salvation Army "krush" poverty, homelessness, and human trafficking while supporting veterans and youth enrichment across greater Atlanta. Awards will be presented to overall first-place male and female finishers, as well as top male and female masters runners. The top three 5K finishers in each of 16 age categories--from 10 and under to 80 and over--also receive awards. Medals will be awarded to all 5K and 1K finishers, and Tot Trot participants will receive ribbons. Prizes will also go to each participant of the top teams with the most members (minimum of 10 participants to be eligible) in five categories: business, church, individual, school, and running club. All registered participants will receive the 2026 Kettle Krush 5K T-shirts. Fees: Through Wed., May 6: 5K/$40, 1K & Tot Trot/$25 (If mailed in, must be received by May 8.) After May 6: 5K/$45, 1K & Tot Trot/$30 Race day: 5K/$50, 1K & Tot Trot/$30 Phantom: $40 (Not interested in running or walking, but receive a T-shirt) Register online at https://bit.ly/kettlekrush2026. Bib and T-shirt pick up will be at Big Peach Running Company, Marietta, on May 14 (4-7 p.m.), on Friday, May 15 (11 a.m.-2p.m.), and on race day beginning at 7 a.m. In addition to raising funds, participants and friends are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items at packet pickup or at the race for The Salvation Army's Marietta Corps food pantry.
