Some call it the "dog days" of summer, but we think it's the perfect time for a 5K! Enjoy this scenic and challenging course around beautiful Chastain Park.


The 2015 Jog Days of Summer 5K is the 9th event in the 2015 Atlanta Track Club Grand Prix Series.

Event is rain or shine.

EVENT DAY SCHEDULE

6:00 am

Race number pick-up opens.

7:00 am

Those registering for the race after 7:00 am will not be timed or included in official results.

7:30 am

Event begins

RACE DAY REGISTRATION

Providing that we have not reached race capacity, we will offer race day registration for this event.

  • Cost: Free for members; $10 for non-members
  • Deadline to register and be timed: 7:00 a.m.

TIMING & RESULTS

Results will be available online the afternoon of the event.

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

COURSE

Course time limit:

  • 5K: 1 hour and 15 minutes (25 minute per mile pace)

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no headphones, pets, or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including baby joggers/strollers, roller/inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

We are offering a special race day registration of $5 for all high school students; you must register by 7:00 a.m. on race day and show your high school ID to receive the discounted rate.

AWARDS

  • Men's and women's Overall Awards
  • Men's and women's Masters Awards
  • Age Group Awards for the top three men and women in each age group (14 & under, five-year increments up to 80+)

PARKING

Parking is available in the following locations; however, we highly recommend carpooling.

  • Chastain Park Amphitheater Red Lot - Powers Ferry Road
  • Chastain Park Amphitheater Blue Lots - Stella Drive and Chastain Memorial Parkway
  • Street Parking - West Wieuca Rd NW
  • NO PARKING available at Galloway School
