If this is your first AJC Peachtree Road Race or you are aiming for a top 1,000 finisher mug, our new premium In-Training for Peachtree program is designed to meet your needs. The weekly training sessions take place on Saturday mornings at Atlanta Track Club's office with additional mid-week workouts throughout the metro Atlanta area. A new virtual option is also available, see details below.

New in 2020, In-Training for Peachtree will feature:

  • Certified coaches at every Saturday workout
  • Guest speakers or "learn by doing" at every Saturday workout
  • Digital learning opportunities on Tuesday evenings
  • Additional training levels to meet your fitness and experience
  • Visits from local running specialty stores and sponsors
  • Daily text/email reminders of workouts powered by Final Surge
  • A single location to build community and camaraderie

Event course limit paces will be applied to training program sessions. We recommend that training participants be able to maintain 18 min/mile for at least a mile at the start of training.

Note: This training program does not include guaranteed entry into the AJC Peachtree Road Race.

$150.00 - Training only

  • Refund Policy: Training registration is non-refundable* and non-transferable (*Refunds considered for medical reasons only, must be submitted with a physician's letter prior to 4/30/20. $25 processing fee will be retained.)

Training Schedule

Saturday Group Training Schedule: 7:30 a.m. (please arrive by 7:15 a.m.)

  • 10 Saturdays, April 25 - June 27
  • No Training Memorial Day weekend (5/23/20)

Midweek Workout Schedule: 6:00 p.m.

  • Wednesdays and Thursdays, April 29 - July 2

Participants

The program is open to runners and walkers of all abilities, experience levels and paces

  • Level I: beginner runners and walkers 9:00-18:00 minutes per mile including intervals
  • Level II: runners and walkers 7:00-16:00 minutes per mile including intervals currently doing 15 or fewer miles per week
  • Level III: experienced runners and walkers 7:00-16:00 minutes per mile including intervals currently doing 16-30 miles per week
  • Level IV: advanced runners 5:00-10:00 minutes per mile pace currently doing 31+ miles per week and at least one speed work session or tempo run per week *Level IV long runs are supported but do not have Run Leads

ORIENTATION

We will kickoff the program with an hour long online orientation in which Coach Amy will discuss the program's routines and expectations, explain Final Surge and its benefits, and answer your training questions. Tuesday, April 21 at 8:00pm on Facebook Live.

Atlanta Track Club's virtual training gives you many of the same benefits of our in-person training while permitting you to conveniently train where you want and when you want.

The program is open to all runners and walkers of all abilities, experience levels and paces.
