IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE
After the year we had in 2020, we all want to start 2021 off on the right foot. Due to the likelihood of severe and potentially dangerous weather in Atlanta on New Year's Day, the virtual and in-person 2021 Resolution Run is being moved one day later to Saturday, January 2. All details such as location, parking and your scheduled start time will remain the same for Saturday. If you are no longer able to attend on the new date and would like a refund, please email questions@
Kick off 2021 on the run! We don't know what next year will look like but we know we want to spend it running and walking. You can join us on January 2, or participate virtually for what will be a very different Resolution Run. For those participating in person, we will be attempting to complete 2,021 laps of Armour and Ottley Drives near Atlanta Track Club's offices. Each lap is 1.3 miles. Participants can sign up for a time to run and complete as many laps as you'd like. Social distancing will be enforced. T-shirts and refreshments will be available for all participants.
For those participating virtually, the goal is to
complete 2,021 miles collectively. Set a goal and complete as many miles as you'd like
anywhere of your choosing on January 1 and then enter your mileage in on the form that will be placed on this web
page. Watch as the mileage ticks up all day!
Atlanta Track Club events are held rain or shine. However, the threat of lightning or other severe weather in the vicinity of the event may result in a delay or cancellation. For full details on our event policies, including weather, refunds and cancellations, click here. Due to an overwhelming response to the event we have run low on shirt sizes. Additional shirts have been ordered and will be available January 9. Anyone registered by December 29 will have their race shirt available on race day but all others will have their shirt shipped by January 9.
Registration is now open, participants may register for a time slot and set a goal for the number of laps they will achieve. Virtual runners will receive a link to submit their miles completed on race day. There will be no race day registration.
Atlanta Track Club intends to hold the Resolution Run at Atlanta Track Club as scheduled on January 1, 2021. If the format of the event moves to virtual ONLY or is cancelled all together, you will be given the option to receive a full refund (less processing fees from registration vendor). If, due to COVD-19, the location of the event has to be changed, refunds will not be provided, but you will be immediately notified via email and social media.
Timing & Results
All joining the Atlanta Track Club on New Year's Day will be given a race number with a timing device. This device will be used for lap counting purposes (not results) and will allow us to track our progress throughout the day towards the goal of completing 2021 laps.
Your timing device for this event is the Chronotrack single use B-tag. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your bib is...
- Clearly visible on the front of the torso
- Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
- Pinned in all four corners
- Not covered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)
The course will be a 1.3 mile loop around Atlanta Track Club's office on Armour Drive.
For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no headphones, pets, or roller/inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course. Strollers will be permitted at this year's event.
- Ages 8 & older
Number/T-shirt pick-up will take place the morning of the event beginning at 6:30 a.m.
Street parking along Armour Drive and Ottley Drive will be available but limited. Carpooling will be encouraged. Additional parking information coming soon.
