Toe the first start line of 2024 with Atlanta Track Club at the Resolution Run. This event features a 5K, Mile and Dash, and is a great way to get the entire family moving. With a start/finish line conveniently located in Piedmont park, this event is easy to access. The Resolution Run is the best way to get your 2024 off to a healthy start!

Course Information

Course time limit:

  • 5K: 1 hour and 15 minutes (25 minute per mile pace)

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no headphones, pets, or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including baby joggers/strollers, roller/inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course

Registration & Number Pick Up

Number Pickup is only available race morning prior to the start of your event in Piedmont Park. Number Pickup Opens at 8:45 a.m. Bring your check in pass (on your phone or printed) to ease the flow of Number Pickup.

Race Day Registration Cost:

  • 5K - $60
  • Mile - $25
  • Dash $25

Atlanta Track Club intends to hold the Resolution Run 5K, Mile & Dash as scheduled on January 1, 2024. If the format of the event moves to virtual ONLY or is cancelled all together, you will be given the option to receive a full refund (less processing fees from registration vendor). If, due to COVID-19, the location of the event has to be changed, refunds will not be provided, but you will be immediately notified via email and social media.

Timing & Results

Unofficial results available online the afternoon of the event. Results are made official approximately two weeks after the event, after all inquires have been processed.

Your timing device for this event is the Chronotrack single use B-tag. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your bib is...

  • Clearly visible on the front of the torso
  • Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
  • Pinned in all four corners
  • Not covered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.

Parking, Ride Share & MARTA

Use of public transportation (MARTA), rideshare or carpooling is highly encouraged as parking is limited and will be an additional cost. Carpooling is encouraged.

  • Purchase parking in your participant account on BUY PRODUCTS tab for $5 to access parking in the Midtown High School Stadium Lot or Park Tavern Lots.
  • Nearest MARTA stations are Midtown & Arts Center
  • Paid parking available at the Sage Parking deck

Awards

Overall awards are based on gun time and overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Age group awards are based on net time. Awards will only be given for the 5K race.

  • Masters male, female and non-binary
  • Age Group Awards for the top three males, females and non-binary in each age group (9-14, 15-19, five-year increments up to 90+)

In order to serve all our athletes, Atlanta Track Club offers opportunities for Athletes With Disabilities (AWD). Atlanta Track Club officials will provide reasonable accommodation to Athletes With Disabilities on an individualized and event by event basis.

Participant Account

Take a moment to familiarize yourself with your participant account from haku. There you'll find your race category and distance, race start time, and check-in pass. You can switch distances, change your category to virtual, and edit your emergency contact information.

Virtual Participants

Those selecting the Virtual Resolution Run race option will be asked to complete their race between Monday, January 1, 2024 and Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Results must be submitted by Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in order to be included in results.

Virtual participants will receive a race bib and commemorative item. The last day to switch and sign up to receive their kits before race day is Wednesday, December 27 at 11:59 p.m. There will be no switching to the in-person event after this date. Anyone who registers prior to Wednesday December 27 at 11:59 p.m. will have their kits sent before New Year's Day. Participants who register after this date (12/27) will have items shipped after event day.

Switching races: Registrants may only switch from virtual to in-person through December 27th. You can switch distances and categories within your haku account. Follow the steps below or click here for detailed instructions:
