2026 Wingfoot XC Classic

Atlanta Track Club returns to Cartersville for the 12th annual Wingfoot XC Classic. This year's races will be contested on Saturday only with a morning and evening session each with 3K & 5K races for Youth and High School competitors. The High School Championship races will battle under the lights and through the grassy hills of Cartersville to claim this year's individual and team titles on Saturday evening.

The 2026 event will follow the 2025 race schedule.

Parking Fees:

  • $10.00 pre-purchased
  • $15.00 on site - CASH PREFERRED, please have EXACT CHANGE

If you pre-purchase, please have your receipt pulled up on your mobile device to expedite entry for all cars

Additional Parking Available:

Cars: Follow instruction of police, staff and volunteers.

Buses: Enter the main lot of Sam Smith park, proceed past the building and main entry to the event to unload along the gravel road. You will then be directed off site for parking.

Race Selections

Atlanta Track Club will assign all races using past season performances, current season competition, and additional historical information. Races will be assigned by September 8 using competitions through September 5. If your team is unable to compete on Saturday evening please contact us and we will make the appropriate adjustments. Championship races are capped at 25 teams per race. It is not guaranteed that both genders will be selected to compete on the same day.

Youth Races

Youth teams and individuals may choose to compete in either the Saturday morning or evening races based on their team schedules. The races will be capped at 30 teams to ensure safety for all runners. Teams must select their competition session preference in registration.

Awards

  • Top 3 boys and girls teams will be awarded based on the lowest cumulative score of the top 5 runners
  • Wingfoot Cup will be awarded to the teams with the lowest cumulative score of the top 5 runners across both genders in the Championship Division
  • Top 10 individual boys and girls in each race will receive a medal and the top 10 in the Varsity & Youth races will receive a unique event shirt
  • Team trophies will be awarded in the Championship, Varsity, Youth & JV Championship races only
