2026 Wingfoot XC Classic

Atlanta Track Club returns to Cartersville for the 12th annual Wingfoot XC Classic. This year's races will be contested on Saturday only with a morning and evening session each with 3K & 5K races for Youth and High School competitors. The High School Championship races will battle under the lights and through the grassy hills of Cartersville to claim this year's individual and team titles on Saturday evening.

The 2026 event will follow the 2025 race schedule.

  • Middle School - $250 ($125 per gender)
  • Individuals: $10 per runner (High School athletes cannot run unattached)

Team Registration -DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 1, 2026

Registration is a two step process:

  • Teams/ must register through Let's Do This using the link above. The registration will ask for participant information, please fill in with Coach's information and team.
  • After payment is received, athlete entries can be submitted through Milesplit (High School & Youth)
  • To pay by check, use coupon code "Check" at checkout. Invoices will be sent to the registered email beginning late July. Payment deadline: Friday, September 11. Late payments will be subject to a $75 late fee per gender.
  • Youth Teams may choose either the morning or evening race during registration

Teams with less than 5 runners per gender should email enelson@atlantatrackclub.org for specific registration instructions. Athlete entries will open in August at the beginning of the season.

Individuals & Unattached Runners - DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 1, 2026

  • Athletes must register through Let's Do This using the link above. This will complete your registration; no additional steps are required.
  • To pay by check, use coupon code "Check" at checkout. Invoices will be sent to the registered email beginning late July. Payment deadline: Friday, September 11.

Due to NFHS & GHSA regulations, unattached runners may not compete in any high school race. All high school athletes must be registered by a coach and represent their high school in order to compete. Individuals will be assigned a race based on their current season performances. Strict limitations exist to qualify for the Championship Race.

Unattached runners ages 7 -14 may only compete in the youth races in either session. Individuals may represent their club/school but will not be scored.

Additional Parking Available:

Cars: Follow instruction of police, staff and volunteers.

Buses: Enter the main lot of Sam Smith park, proceed past the building and main entry to the event to unload along the gravel road. You will then be directed off site for parking.

Race Selections

Atlanta Track Club will assign all races using past season performances, current season competition, and additional historical information. Races will be assigned by September 8 using competitions through September 5. If your team is unable to compete on Saturday evening please contact us and we will make the appropriate adjustments. Championship races are capped at 25 teams per race. It is not guaranteed that both genders will be selected to compete on the same day.

Youth Races

Youth teams and individuals may choose to compete in either the Saturday morning or evening races based on their team schedules. The races will be capped at 30 teams to ensure safety for all runners. Teams must select their competition session preference in registration.

Awards

  • Top 3 boys and girls teams will be awarded based on the lowest cumulative score of the top 5 runners
  • Wingfoot Cup will be awarded to the teams with the lowest cumulative score of the top 5 runners across both genders in the Championship Division
  • Top 10 individual boys and girls in each race will receive a medal and the top 10 in the Varsity & Youth races will receive a unique event shirt
  • Team trophies will be awarded in the Championship, Varsity, Youth & JV Championship races only
