Favorite Memory: The first race was unusual. You started in Five Points and immediately took a right. It was probably the only race I have run where you immediately take a turn on the course! At the end of the race, which was sponsored by Mizuno, I was handed a baseball cap, which I still have, because I was wearing Mizuno shoes!

Craziest Memory: In 2019, we had planned a family trip to Italy. I realized that I had planned to return on the Sunday of the race and quickly changed my flights and my family's flights so I could be back to run the race. I felt like I was still on Italy time as I was running the race!

Honors and Traditions: I keep all my race medals on a chair near my front door so I am constantly reminded of the race. Also, I have a routine where I sleep on my friend's couch the night before the race. He has offered me a nice comfortable bed, but I insist on sleeping on the couch.
