ATC Named Finalist in Technology Contest

The Atlanta Track Club (ATC) today announced it has been selected as a finalist in the “Technology JumpStart Your Nonprofit” contest presented by Milner Technology.  The contest invited nonprofit organizations in the 20-county greater Atlanta area to submit their need for an office technology makeover.  More than 100 entries in two categories were displayed on Milner Technology’s website from January 9-31 allowing the public to vote on the top 10 finalists.

The ATC is one of five finalists in the 16 or more employee category.   Voting for the final round began on February 11 and will end on March 10, and supporters may vote for the Atlanta Track Club once a day through March 10.  If selected as the winner, the ATC will use the funds to purchase IT products and services.

“As a nonprofit organization, the majority of our funds go towards supporting our mission. We are constantly looking at new programs to launch, new groups and communities to reach and ways to enhance the experience of those who have supported the Atlanta Track Club through the years,” said Tracey Russell, Atlanta Track Club executive director.  “With Milner’s wonderful campaign, we would have the funds to support the launch of new programs and initiatives and enhance existing ones. The possibilities are endless.”

Milner Technology will announce the grand prize winner in both categories the week of March 25. The winning organization in the 15 or less employee category will receive an office technology makeover valued at $15,000 while the 16 or more employee category will receive a $20,000 technology makeover.

There are two ways to vote for the ATC.  Supporters may vote once a day through March 10 at milner.com/jumpstart, or they can use the “Give-and-Vote” feature that allows supporters to vote for the ATC through donations made to the organization.  The Atlanta Track Club will receive one vote for every $5 donated.  Donations will benefit ATC’s outreach programs such as its Kilometer Kids youth running program.
