Races Completed: 19 half marathons

Fave Race Swag: I really liked the beanie hat, the socks, and the pint glasses

Favorite Memory: My favorite memory from this race is setting what is still my half marathon PR in 2009 of 1:26. I had been trying for years to break 1:30 for a half marathon and it finally happened in 2009.

Craziest Memory: I talked my wife into running the 2010 race for her first half marathon which was no small feat considering we had a 7- and 4-year-old at the time and I was working full time at a job that required shift work so she spent a lot of time on the treadmill. The race that year was cold and rainy and afterward her left hand turned blue, we went to the hospital expecting them to say it was nothing and send us home, instead she spent a week in the hospital and had to have emergency surgery for a suspected blood clot in her elbow. Needless to say her half marathon days were over after that.

Most Difficult Obstacle: I ran the 2016 race with my left arm dangling by my side after a pretty bad bike crash in September of 2016 and subsequent botched surgery after, I ran the 2024 race after having hip surgery in November of 2023 and had only been back running for about 4 weeks prior. My "long run" was 6 miles.
