The Gift of Running: I had always been a casual runner but my first organized marathon race of my life was the inaugural race of this streak in 2007. I remember I completed the marathon in about 4 hours after staying up all night with my wife and our twins that had just been born in November of 2006. This is a testament to the beauty of the sport of running and all of the physical and mental health benefits it provides to help us keep in shape for the journey of life! I am blessed to have been able to compete in this race and to keep this streak alive! Long live the joy of distance running. Thank you to the Atlanta Track Club, Publix and all of the volunteers who had made this event a huge success.

Obstacles to the Streak: Age and my family commitments. But this is a very well done race and highlights many of the people and places I love as a native Atlantan.
