Guns & Hoses 5K

Cherokee Recreation and Parks will host its 19th Annual 5K Run/Walk on February 8, 2025 at Hobgood Park in Woodstock, GA. The purpose of the run is to raise money for charity causes selected by both groups, Guns & Hoses. The charity for Cherokee Sheriff's Office (Guns) is the Charlie Ferguson Community Center which stands as a symbol of the power of volunteerism and community engagement. Formerly a volunteer fire station, this new center will provide after-school programs, senior activities, events, and other flexible functions. They are located at 1398 Reinhardt College Parkway, Canton. Visit their website cfergusoncc.org for more information. The charity for the Cherokee County Fire Department (Hoses) is the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, which is a non-profit home serving young men in the state foster care system. When registering, the runner will select the team that they want to represent, and a portion of their registration fee will go towards their chosen charity. Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash!
