Hiawassee Half Marathon & 5K

Join the Hiawassee Half Marathon & 5K in the heart of North Georgia's scenic mountain region. All proceeds benefit Hikeawassee, a free Appalachian Trail hiker shuttle service. Starting and finishing in the charming Hiawassee Town Square, this scenic road race showcases the beauty of our mountain-lake community. Both courses feature stunning views of Lake Chatuge, with the half marathon offering a full 360-degree tour around its sparkling shoreline. With primarily flat terrain and well-maintained road surfaces, runners of all experience levels can enjoy a smooth, fast course surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Half Marathon: 7:30 am Start; 4 hour time limit (18 min 20 sec mile). 5K: 8:30 am Start.
