Crazy Memory: One year I ran the half with my left arm in a sling. I few weeks before the race, during a training run, I fell and broke my humerus bone; not very funny. I wasn't going to break my streak!

Honoring the Streak: I now allow myself the luxury of staying at a hotel at the start-line. I have all my race medals and bibs. A picture from the 2007 and 2008 finishes is framed in my basement.

Inaugural Year Discovery: I was part of the Jeff Galloway Marathon Training Group at the time. A number of us signed up for the race.
