Hometown: Atlanta, GA
Races Completed: Mainly the half: I would guess 17 half and 2 marathons
Favorite Streaker Gift: I still wear the red streaker running shirt out on the trails, and the T-shirt with streaker emblazoned on the front is funny and I wear that regularly as well.
Inaugural Year: I moved back to Atlanta in early 2007, after starting running while living in New York City for a few years. I ran my first marathon in 2005, the ING New York City Marathon. As I was preparing to move back to Atlanta, I was passively scanning races for the spring. I saw that ING sponsored an inaugural race in Atlanta and it was an obvious choice.
Anything Crazy?: Not really an outlandish story, but two thoughts: The weather during this race over the last 19 years has really run the gamut. I remember really hot races, obviously lots of pouring rain, and some very chilly mornings. To think that we ran the 2020 race, on a very chilly morning, and then the world lock down a couple of weeks later was pretty eerie.
Post-Race Celebration: Honestly, the drive home and picking up a Starbucks followed by that hot shower, is golden.
