Miles 4 Marten 2K walk & Ride for mental Health Awareness
In 2019, Marten Bijvank was tragically hit and killed while riding his bicycle on Roswell Road by an impaired driver. His life was lost in a moment that could have been prevented. This event was created to honor his legacy and bring awareness to the deeper issues surrounding mental health, trauma, impaired driving, sharing the road, and the consequences of poor choices. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are invited to walk or ride along a 2K course in a supportive and uplifting environment. Together, we stand for accountability, healing, and change—while encouraging safer roads for both drivers and cyclists. This is more than just a walk—it's a movement to break the stigma around mental health, open honest conversations, and bring the community together for a greater purpose. Enjoy music, community engagement, and meaningful moments as we honor Marten's life and support families impacted by mental health challenges. Proceeds and participation directly support youth and mental health programs through the AJ Battle Foundation, as well as provide support to Marten Bijvank's family.
