1984 Peachtree Poster

The Story Behind the Poster

This limited-edition vintage Peachtree Road Race poster captures a defining moment in the 15th Running of the race in 1984. At the time, the race had already grown into one of Atlanta's most celebrated events, with approximately 25,000 participants.

Atlanta-based advertising photographer Larry Marchant captured this scene—an energetic tribute to the city, its runners, and the Peachtree spirit. Printed on high-quality paper and measuring 17" x 23.5", these posters have been kept in climate-controlled storage for over four decades. Each is signed by the artist and represents a lasting piece of Peachtree history.
