Atlanta Track Club Supports Launch of “Healthy Heroes” Program for City of Atlanta Firefighters

Initiative provides firefighters with adidas running shoes, Track Club membership and fitness resources

ATLANTA - March 13, 2026 - Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation is partnering with Atlanta Track Club as it launches Healthy Heroes, a new initiative designed to support the physical wellness of Atlanta firefighters.

The Healthy Heroes program promotes fitness, functional movement, weight management and overall health through a combination of wellness programming, health screenings and training opportunities. Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in curated fitness events such as the Bravest of the Brave Obstacle Challenge, the Annual Firefighter 5K and the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Through the program, Atlanta Track Club provides Atlanta firefighters with adidas running shoes, a complimentary Atlanta Track Club membership and access to select races to help them stay active and prepared for the physical demands of the job.

"Atlanta Track Club is proud to stand alongside the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation in support of the men and women who work every day to keep our city safe," said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club. "Firefighters and first responders embody strength, resilience and service — values that mirror the spirit of our organization. By helping them prioritize their own health and fitness, we're investing in the well-being of those who do so much for all of us."

"Our expanded partnership with Atlanta Track Club deepens our commitment to supporting both the personal and professional needs of our firefighters," said Taos Wynn, President and CEO of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation. "This program keeps health top of mind and prioritizes the physical well-being of Atlanta firefighters so they can continue meeting the demands of their critical work."

Atlanta Fire Chief Roderick M. Smith said initiatives like Healthy Heroes help strengthen the department's ability to serve the city.

"The strength of this department has always been its people," Smith said. "Programs like Healthy Heroes help ensure our firefighters have the support, fitness and resilience they need to meet the demands of this profession and continue serving the citizens of Atlanta at the highest level."
