ATLANTA - August 27, 2025 - Atlanta Track Club today unveiled a bold and expansive strategic plan designed to guide its growth and deepen its impact through 2028 and beyond. At the heart of the plan is the development of a state-of-the-art indoor track and field facility, a transformative investment in the future of running and walking in Atlanta.
"This strategic plan is broad but bold and will be referenced daily by our staff and board to ensure we remain focused on growth, experience and impact for the next three years," said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club.
Created in partnership with Atlanta-based Jabian Consulting, the plan reflects months of collaboration, market research and community engagement. The partnership was initiated through Ryan Briley, a member of Atlanta Track Club's Board of Directors and Executive Director at Jabian, whose dual role helped align the firm's commitment to civic engagement with the Club's planning needs.
A dedicated team of consultants led staff focus groups, gathered participant feedback and facilitated planning sessions that helped shape a comprehensive, forward-looking roadmap.
"It was a unique privilege to support this strategic planning process from both sides, as a member of Atlanta Track Club's Board of Directors and as a leader at Jabian Consulting," said Ryan Briley, Executive Director at Jabian and member of Atlanta Track Club's Board of Directors. "This plan reflects the voices of the community, the vision of the Club's leadership and a shared commitment to growing the impact of running and walking across Atlanta."
The plan outlines key growth priorities, including the Club's commitment to establish the Atlanta Marathon as a nationally recognized destination event. It includes new efforts to expand Atlanta Track Club member benefits through enhanced digital experiences and more personalized engagement, including recognition of individual milestones and deeper year-round connection to the Club's programming.
The indoor center, the centerpiece of the plan, will serve as a community anchor for health, wellness and competition alike. Designed to welcome everyone from Olympic hopefuls to first-time runners, it will feature year-round programming, house health care partners, deliver educational opportunities, provide retail offerings and deliver new job opportunities and training, furthering the Club's mission to make Atlanta healthier and more active.
With a foundation of long-standing events, expanding youth programs, and engaged members and partners, the plan provides a framework for how Atlanta Track Club will continue advancing its mission of making the city healthier through running and walking.
