Registration Now Open for 2026 AJC Peachtree Road Race and Polar Opposite Peachtree

Everyone Admitted Through July 11

ATLANTA - July 5, 2025 - Even before the final wave crossed the finish line at the 56th Running of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race, registration opened for its 2026 edition. Also open is registration for its cold-weather counterpart, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Polar Opposite Peachtree Road Race, offering participants the opportunity to secure entry to both events during a one-week early access window.

From July 4 through July 11, all registrants can sign up at the lowest available price for the 57th Running of the AJC Peachtree Road Race, scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026. This early registration period is the only opportunity for non-members to guarantee their spot without participating in the lottery next spring. So far, more than 2,500 people registered within the first 24 hours.

Yesterday's race welcomed more than 52,000 participants — the largest turnout since the 50th Running in 2019. A deep and competitive elite field produced new winners, while some successfully defended their titles. A full post-race recap will be available in coming days.

"The Peachtree belongs to Atlanta. It brings us together—regardless of pace, background, or experience—and it's a reminder of how powerful movement can be," said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club and race director of the Peachtree. "By bundling registration for the AJC Peachtree Road Race and the Polar Opposite Peachtree, we're offering the community something unique: a chance to participate in both summer and winter events under the same tradition. It's a way to extend the spirit of Peachtree throughout the year."

For the first time, registrants can bundle entry with the 2026 Polar Opposite Peachtree, which takes place annually on the first Saturday in January. Following its debut in 2025, the next running is set for Saturday, January 3, 2026.

All 2026 Peachtree participants will receive an adidas finisher's shirt. Polar Opposite Peachtree participants will receive a commemorative adidas crew neck sweater (a slight change from the adidas hoodie in 2024) and a medal. A commemorative medal for the Peachtree is available as an optional purchase during registration and will be available for pickup at the 2026 Peachtree Health & Fitness Expo presented by Publix and on race day.

This marks the second year of offering a guaranteed-entry window immediately following the Peachtree, and the first time it has been paired with early access to the Polar Opposite Peachtree.

Registration for both ends at 11:59 p.m. on July 11. To register or learn more about either event, visit atlantatrackclub.org/peachtree.
