Hometown: Marietta, GA

Races Completed: 19 half marathons

Favorite Race Gift: the white dry fit hat is my go-to when it is raining - don't remember the year. The cross body sling bag from 2025 is a new favorite travel accessory

Crazy Memory: In 2022 I tore the meniscus in my left knee during mile 3. I almost went down to the pavement in pain. I tried to get back on pace but was in too much pain. I had to slow to 9:30+ pace per mile and limp through the finish. My goal for the next year was to get back to the half in 2023, which I did.

Honoring the Streak: I have a rack of medals from all my races on the wall of my office. I am now going to make a special rack for just this race. I plan to make a quilt out of the race shirts when the streak ends. I enjoy all of the streaker swag.

Inaugural Turns Streak: I am a lifelong runner and the coach of Centennial HS cross country and track teams. I had just started running marathons and was using the half as a training race - but it became my favorite distance. I really enjoyed the course and running the same race every year for comparison.
