Part of the "Why:" I would say this race has been a part of my year. Running the race, is my start of the yearly running. It is a long standing cold run, that gets me in gear for the upcoming.

Streak Obstacles: Dealing with really really cold weather and rain, not wanting to get up super early and drive through the weather to go run in it.

Cherishing the Swag: I keep the race medal, they are hung on my wall, I have kept all my shirts and race bib. One of my favorite things is early on in the races, there was an annual poster. I have many of these framed on hung on my basement walls. Wish these would be brought back.
