Hometown: Atlanta, GA

Races Completed: Two marathons, 17 half marathons

Favorite Streaker Gift: I love the streaker sleeves! I find myself wearing them in Atlanta and in Spain.

Big Love: I love this race. The inaugural event was the 1st marathon I ever ran - my wife convinced me to do it. I could not keep up with her ...but I finished! By far the best part of this first year was the fact that people from all neighborhoods along the course came out to not only support us, by provide water.... remember how hot it was and that the race ran out of water?! There is nothing better than a community coming together in this way. I also love that you were one of the last races just before COVID shut everything down; and that the year to follow, you made it work at Atlanta Motor Speedway. I am so appreciative how you all have made it fun every year!

Obstacle to the Streak: I always appreciate the inspiring REAL obstacles people overcome every year to accomplish their goals. Compared to most of those stories I have had it easy! All that to say, December 12, 2023 I had knee surgery. My goal was to finish the 1/2 marathon on February 25th and was able to (slowly) do so. I'm proud of that.

Traveling the Miles to Streak: We live part of the year in Altea, Spain. Arriving back in Atlanta the day before race day has sometimes been necessary and definitely unnerving!

Traditions and Honors: I always look forward to seeing my wife and dog (initially Cleveland Brown from the Atlanta Humane Society and now Hamilton from the Golden Retriever Rescue) cheering for me just as you come into Georgia Tech after the water stop. We always take a picture of our pup wearing my metal too which is a fun tradition. As for the race metals, they are displayed on a wall, and we've framed the Inaugural Race Poster... all are a great conversation starter.
