The Street Dog Dash 5k is a local Cherokee County based 501(c)3 that hosts an annual 5k event to raise funds for local and international animal rescue. Often times, rescues struggle with incoming funds to support the medical care, logistics and rehabilitation costs of dog rescue. We host a sponsorship and participant driven 5k event each April to raise funds to donate out to local rescues and our one international partner rescue. This allows these organizations to rescue more dogs and focus on the needs of the animals to get them adopted while removing the burden of where the funds will come to provide rescue. Think of us as a local community of dog lovers who throw a big PAW-ty to give back! Our 7th annual event is taking place on Saturday, April 26th starting at 9am at Etowah River Park in Canton. This 5k event is family friendly (strollers too) as well as dog friendly! Last year, we had just under 400 humans and close to 200 dog participants. Come celebrate with us on April 26th and put your paws to the pavement for a great cause! 🐾
