The Vinings Down Hill 5K Run for the Kids

Join Us for the 2025 Vinings Downhill 5K! Date: Saturday, August 9, 2025 Location: Mt. Wilkinson to The Lovett School (with a huge post-race celebration at Vinings Jubilee!) Get ready for one of Metro Atlanta's most anticipated summer races! On August 9th, more than 2,000 runners, walkers, and spectators will come together for the 2025 Vinings Downhill 5K Run for the Kids — a high-energy, family-friendly event that supports local children's charities. The race kicks off at the top of Mt. Wilkinson, winds through the scenic Cumberland area, and finishes with a dramatic 280-foot net drop at The Lovett School. But don't be fooled by the name — it's not quite all downhill! You'll tackle three short climbs: one at the half-mile mark, another in mile two, and a final push in the last half-mile. Thankfully, the exhilarating downhill stretches more than make up for it. More than just a 5K! • Kids 1K Fun Run - A great way to get little legs moving! • Doggie Dash & Costume Contest - Dress up your pup and join the fun! • Post-Race Party at Vinings Jubilee - Enjoy live music, great food, awards, giveaways, and a festive race expo!
