Favorite Race Swag: The Mizuno hat was a favorite. So much so that when I thought I lost it I bought another, only to find it 6 months later. Now I have 2.

Race Memory: For my first full in 2007 I ended up settling in behind a woman wearing a tutu who was going just slightly faster than I really wanted to. She had such great energy and was getting such a great response from the crowd that I chased her for nearly the entire race. I always wanted to thank her afterwards for getting me through it but never did find her.

Injury Obstacle: I was mowing my yard and hit a wasp nest in 2021. The stings weren't too bad but the slight achilles tear that resulted from the panic stricken flailing and fleeing definitely slowed me down for what ended up being another few years.
