The second annual Wingfoot XC Classic will feature 3K and 5K races on surfaces such as grass, dirt and gravel. The course will be a unique single loop with traditional European cross country elements such as hay bales or logs. The event is open to middle school and high school cross country teams, as well as the general public.

Community Race registration
Online registration for the Community Race opens August 24 and closes September 21, 2016 at 11;59 p.m.
Race Day registration for the Community Race is available onsite beginning at 6:00 a.m. Deadline to register and be timed is 7:00 a.m.
This event is part of Atlanta Track Club’s 2016 Grand Prix Series presented by Piedmont Healthcare and is free for Atlanta Track Club members/$10 for non-members/$5 students.
Participants have the opportunity to select a school to represent during online registration and the school with the most registrants by 11:59 p.m. on September 21 will earn a tent in the VIP area for the 2016 event complete with snacks and a private port-o-john.
Timing & Results
The race will be professionally chip timed with timing mats at every mile in addition to the finish line. The race will be NFHS and GHSA sanctioned for Georgia schools and other states upon request.

Atlanta Track Club is a member organization of both the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) & USA Track & Field (USATF) and adheres to the guidelines and rules of competition in the events Atlanta Track Club conducts & provides.
Community race course time limit:
- 5K: 1 hour and 15 minutes (25 minute per mile pace)
For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no headphones, pets, or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including baby joggers/strollers, roller/inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course.

HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION COSTS
$ 350 – All High School and Middle School Teams
$ 250 – All High School Teams
$ 150 – High School Varsity Team (per gender)
$ 50 – Middle School Team (per gender)
$ 10 – Individual Runners High School/Middle School
$ 10 – Community Race (Adults and Youth 8+)

School payments due by September 1, 2016. $50 late fee if payment not received by deadline.
Up to 30 teams will be selected to run in the Championship Varsity Races. Selection committee will announce the teams no later than September 20. Coaches are aksed to submit preference, but race comittee reserves the right to place teams in the best interest of the meet.
School Team Awards-Top 21 finishers from races will receive medals, and Top 10 Championship Varsity runners will also receive a t-shirt. Top 3 teams in Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Middle School races will receive a team award.
Community Awards- Overall male, female, masters male, and masters female. Age group awards for the top three men and women in each age group (14 & under, five-year increments up to 90+)
Schools will have the opportunity to compete as a full program earning points for Championship Varsity and JV teams placing in their respective races. The top program will be named the Wingfoot Cup Champion and receive a championship trophy and be featured on the cover of Wingfoot magazine. Additionally, in 2016 the winners will gain a spot in the VIP area and FREE entry as they defend their title.
Parking available at the race site for $5.00 CASH per car. Additional FREE parking will be available offsite. A complimentary shuttle will be provided from the lots at Cartersville Primary School, Cartersville Elementary School and the Deerfield Practice Fields.
Bus Parking available for FREE on site.
Limited parking is available; carpooling is encouraged.
Atlanta Track Club will provide coffee, beverages, and food for coaches and volunteers. Please feel free to grab a drink and a snack.
The team that has the most parents, friends, and community members sign up for the Community Race, prior to online registration closing September 23, will be given a VIP area located by the start line complete with race day snacks, tents, and private port-o-john.
