2017 BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD OF GEORGIA PEACHTREE JUNIOR

***UPDATE***

Atlanta Track Club has been in constant communication with meteorologists at The National Weather Service who have warned of the threat for unpredictable pop-up thunderstorms in the area of Piedmont Park for the next three to four hours. Because the safety of our participants is our number one priority, the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia Peachtree Junior has been cancelled. No refunds will be issued but participant T-shirts and medals will be delivered to all schools that have groups registered for the event. Children who are not registered as part of a school group will receive their shirt and medal in the mail. There are currently no plans to reschedule the event. We are disappointed that weather forced this cancellation as Peachtree Junior is one of the Club's longest running events. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you will join us at a future Atlanta Track Club event.

The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia Peachtree Junior is an event for kids of all ages. The event, held at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, will feature a 3K timed run for kids ages 7-14, a 1/2K for ages 5-9 and 50m dash for ages 6 & under. The event is designed to offer kids the experience, excitement and prestige of the AJC Peachtree Road Race.

After completing the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia Peachtree Junior, participants are invited to enjoy a post-race festival on the Active Oval including decathalon events such as hurdles, long jump, high jump and shot put.
