2018 Powerade All-Metro Track & Field Banquet

Atlanta Track Club is proud to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of high school student-athletes and their supporting coaches with our end-of-season Powerade All-Metro Track & Field Awards Banquet. The 49 athletes who represent 11 counties and 27 high schools, were selected based on criteria including season bests as well as performance at the state meet and other major meets over the course of the season. The community can vote online from May 16 – May 22 for the most outstanding male and female track athletes and most outstanding male and female field athletes.

Atlanta Track Club will honor the deserving scholastic student athletes at the 2018 Powerade All-Metro Track and Field Banquet on June 6, 2018 at The Stave Room in Midtown Atlanta. Lewis Johnson, Olympic Track and Field analyst for NBC Sports will be the event emcee. Each of the All-Metro athletes will be recognized for their extraordinary seasons at the Powerade All-Metro Track and Field Banquet, and the Most Outstanding Male/Female Track Athlete and Most Outstanding Male/Female Field Athlete will be awarded $1,500 scholarships. Two high school seniors, one male and one female, will be awarded $2,500 scholarships for their contributions to the sports of track and field and cross country. Additional honorees that evening include the winners of the Coach’s Dedication Awards and state champion coaches.

Family members, coaches and friends are invited to join us on the 6th and celebrate the success of the student athletes at the 2018 Powerade All-Metro High School Track & Field Banquet.

COACH'S DEDICATION AWARDS

Atlanta Track Club awards the Hawthorne Wesley and Judo Brown Awards for outstanding coach's dedication to the sport of track & field in the State of Georgia. Named in honor of two dedicated Georgia track & field coaches, Hawthorne Wesley and Judo Brown, these awards are given to coaches who have a long history of involvement to the sport, their community and its athletes. From the nominations, a committee will select one boys and one girls coach to be honored at this year's 2018 Powerade All-Metro High School Track & Field Banquet. ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year at the All-Metro Track & Field Banquet in June, Atlanta Track Club and Atlanta Track Club Foundation announces its largest scholarships, the Patty Foell and Hawthorne Wesley Scholarships for seniors who excelled in running during their high school career. ATLANTA TRACK CLUB HIGH SCHOOL SUPPORT

Atlanta Track Club supports local high school athletes through initiatives which include: the Powerade All-Metro High School Cross Country Banquet, the Powerade All-Metro High School Track & Field Banquet, and college scholarships given to high school student athletes who excel in running during their high school career. Atlanta Track Club is also a long-standing supporter of high school running as well as the GHSA and their objectives to promote, standardize and encourage participation in athletics, and to promote sportsmanship and an appreciation through Region and State competitions.
