2018 Powerade All-Metro Cross Country Banquet

Atlanta Track Club is proud to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of student-athletes and their supporting coaches with our end-of-season Powerade All-Metro High School Cross Country Awards Banquet and All-Metro team title. Each of the All-Metro athletes will be recognized for their extraordinary seasons and select All-Metro honorees will receive a scholarship from Atlanta Track Club.

Atlanta Track Club selects 42 student athletes, 21 boys and 21 girls, to receive All-Metro High School Cross Country Team honors. The 42 All-Metro athletes are selected based on criteria including performance at the state meet, major meet wins and a complete season overview. Coaches, parents and the community can utilize an online form from November 7-12 to rank the selected athletes among the three teams. The student athletes who have been named Most Outstanding Cross Country Athlete will be announced at the banquet as well as the winners of the Coach's Dedication Awards. Nominations for the Coach's Dedication Awards will be accepted through the online form for athlete voting.

Family members, coaches and friends are invited to join us on the 4th and celebrate the success of the student athletes at the 2018 Powerade All-Metro High School Cross Country Banquet.

COACH'S DEDICATION AWARDS

Atlanta Track Club awards the Jerry Frasier and Paul Koshewa Awards for outstanding coach's dedication to the sport of cross country in the State of Georgia. Named for two Georgia cross country coaches, Jerry Frasier of North Fulton High School and Paul Koshewa of the Westminster Schools, these awards are given to coaches who have a long history of involvement to the sport, their community and its athletes. From the nominations, a committee will select one boys and one girls coach to be honored. These awards are also open to coaches outside of metro Atlanta. Honorees will be invited to attend the 2018 Powerade All-Metro Cross Country Banquet.

ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year at the All-Metro Track & Field Banquet in June, Atlanta Track Club and Atlanta Track Club Foundation announces its largest scholarships, the Patty Foell and Hawthorne Wesley Scholarships for seniors who excelled in running during their high school career. Atlanta Track Club supports local high school athletes through initiatives which include: the Atlanta Track Club Powerade All-Metro High School Cross Country Team and Banquet, the Atlanta Track Club Powerade All-Metro High School Track & Field Team and Banquet, and college scholarships given to high school student athletes who excel in running during their high school career. Atlanta Track Club is also a long-standing supporter of high school running as well as the GHSA and their objectives to promote, standardize and encourage participation in athletics, and to promote sportsmanship and an appreciation through Region and State competitions.
