Diana Carter

Diana Carter is Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Emory University, where she oversees enterprise risk management, internal audit, compliance and public safety. With more than 20 years of experience in finance, strategy and compliance, she has strengthened institutional governance and operations at Emory and previously at Deloitte and Georgia Tech. A Certified Public Accountant, Diana holds both a Master and Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Georgia. She is a former treasurer of The Clifton School Board of Directors and currently serves on The Conference Board's Strategic Risk Management Council. She brings deep expertise in risk mitigation, board governance and strategic planning to Atlanta Track Club's board. Diana is also a lifelong athlete who began running in college as a way to create space for reflection. She started racing in her 30s, beginning with Atlanta Track Club events, and has since completed nearly 50 half marathons and marathons. She is currently pursuing the Abbott Six Star medal, with London scheduled next in April.
