Jail Dogs 5K and Fun Run
| We have started our count down to our Jail Dog 5K and we need YOU!!! Literally; we need YOU to sign up and participate at Tribble Mill Park in Lawrenceville, GA. Come run/stroll around the beautiful paved lake trail as we raise money to help our rescue partner Society of Humane Friends of Georgia who financially support our program. Funds from this event will help provide the spay/neuter surgeries, age appropriate vaccines, and microchips for all of our dogs. Our program takes dogs from our local, overcrowded shelters and gives the a second chance at a new beginning. All our dogs are housed at the Gwinnett County Detention Center where they are trained by selected inmate handlers. It is a win-win for both dog and handler. The dogs find new homes with the advantage of training, (we start their basic obedience training along with house and crate training) while the inmate handlers learn a skill they can use when they depart our program.
