With a new name and a new course for the marathon and half marathon in 2019, the Publix Atlanta Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K will show participants from near and far why Atlanta is truly one of the country's great running destinations.

Centennial Olympic Park, site of the Publix Atlanta Marathon start and finish areas, serves as the expo and race number pickup location for all Publix Atlanta Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K race participants. The expo features music, Publix premium giveaways, official race merchandise from Mizuno, free food/drink sampling and numerous running accessories and apparel vendors.  

All participants must pick up their race numbers at Centennial Olympic Park unless Will Call was purchased during race registration or through the Atlanta Track Club online store.

Getting to Race Number Pickup

The easiest way to get to the Publix Atlanta Marathon Expo & Race Number Pickup is by MARTA. Take the red/gold rail lines to Peachtree Center Station or the blue/green lines to Dome/GWCC/CNN Center. Once in the park, look for the large outdoor tents located in the West Lawn Promenade (grassy area near Olympic Ring Fountain, Googie Burger, College Football Hall of Fame). 

Street parking (pay meters), parking decks and surface lots are available in various locations surrounding Centennial Olympic Park.

Course time limit:

Marathon: 6 hours 30 minutes (15 minute per mile pace)

Half Marathon: 3 hours and 30 minutes (16 minute per mile pace)

For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no pets, or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including baby joggers/strollers, roller/inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course. Headphones are strongly discouraged.

Race Day Registration

No race day registration is available, but individuals can register at the Publix Atlanta Marathon Race Number Pick-Up on Friday and Saturday, March 15-16. Hours and location information coming soon.

Timing & Results

Unofficial results available online the afternoon of the event. Results are made official approximately two weeks after the event, after all inquires have been processed.

Your timing device for this event is the Chronotrack single use B-tag. In order to receive an accurate time, please confirm your bib is...

  • Clearly visible on the front of the torso
  • Unaltered and unmodified (Do not fold or wrinkle)
  • Pinned in all four corners
  • Not covered (jackets, fuel belts, etc.)

Will Call

Must pre-purchase

Buy online during race registration or you can purchase Will Call in our online store. The deadline to purchase Will Call is March 10th at 11:59 pm. 

Will Call Number Pick-up will take place from 5:30 a.m. - 6:45 a.m. race morning.

Your number will not be available at Will Call on race morning unless you have purchased this option.  If you do not purchase Will Call, your number will only be available at race number pick-up on Friday and Saturday.

Switching Races

If you would like to switch races, you may do so by emailing [email protected] or in person at the Solutions counter at race number pick-up.  If a particular race distance is sold out prior to the event, there will not be an option to switch to that distance. No refunds will be given for switching to a shorter race distance and additional fees will apply for those switching to a longer race distance. For those switching races at race number pick-up, shirts will be provided based on availability. Those switching events on race morning will be disqualified and removed from the results.


We encourage all participants to take MARTA on race morning to avoid traffic delays due to race related street closures. CLICK HERE for more information on taking MARTA to the event. MARTA will begin rail service one hour earlier than usual on Sunday morning (5:00 a.m.) in order to get runners and spectators to the start line. Park at any of the 23 MARTA rail stations that have free daily parking.

Gear Check

Gear check will be available on race morning starting at 5:30 a.m. All gear should be dropped off at the gear check tent prior to race start and will be available for pick-up until 2:00 p.m. Please use the gear check tag on your bib to help identify your bag. Additional gear bags will be available at number pick-up and at the gear check tent on race morning. 

Pace Team

The Publix Atlanta Marathon & Half Marathon Pace Team is here to help you achieve your goals at the event. Pace Team leads will run even splits at the pace indicated next to the finish times. Run/walk intervals will be offered for some of the pace groups (specific interval details will be forthcoming).

Athletes with Disabilities

In order to serve all our athletes, Atlanta Track Club offers opportunities for Athletes with Disabilities (AWD). If you are an AWD and interested in participating in Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon, 5K and One Mile, please email [email protected], to discuss what reasonable accommodations can be made based on your specific needs. Atlanta Track Club officials will provide reasonable accommodation to Athletes with Disabilities on an individualized and event by event basis.


Overall awards are based on gun time and overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Age group awards are based on net time.  ?

Let us help you train for a longer distance! Our spring marathon and half marathon training takes place in the winter/spring and prepares participants for the Publix Atlanta Marathon and Half Marathon on 3/17/19. The program is great for novice and intermediate runners. Whether you’re training for your first full or half marathon or your 50th, don’t go at it alone. Hotel & Travel

The Hyatt Regency Atlanta (265 Peachtree Street NE) serves as the host hotel and number pick-up site for the Publix Atlanta Marathon. Located just three blocks from the start/finish area, this sleek luxury hotel is centrally located in downtown Atlanta and walkable to the city's premier tourist attractions: Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, College Football Hall of Fame, The Center for Civl and Human Rights, etc.

Special room rates for participants are available. Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport is a short 15 minute drive or is easily accessible via MARTA's Peachtree Center rail transit station convently connected to the race hotel. Contact HCI Travel, the official agent of the 2019 Publix Atlanta Marathon, for help with additional travel needs.

Georgia Aquarium Discount

Visit one of Atlanta's most popular tourist attractions on Publix Atlanta Marathon weekend thanks to a special partnership between Atlanta Track Club and Georgia Aquarium. All participants in the full marathon will receive free entry into the Aquarium for a special pre-race dinner on Saturday, March 16. Free entry will include full access to the aquarium after 4:00 p.m., plus the opportunity to purchase discounted vouchers for a pre-race pasta dinner. Marathoners can expect a direct email with their free tickets as we approach race day. Additionally, marathoners will be able to purchase discounted tickets for their friends and family for any time over race weekend. 

All participants in the Publix Atlanta Half Marathon & 5K will receive a link to purchase general admission tickets for a discounted price over race weekend. The link will be included in emails and in the Virtual Event Bag sent out during race week. All participants can look forward to more details as we head into the spring.
